dear you,
i have 111 messages in my e-mail spam folder
& 1 message from you in my phone from months ago.
i think my phone is going to give me love advice before i forget what you said in the message. i also think my phone will delete your message soon & i wont be allowed to forget what you said in the message because if i forget
i'll have nothing left of you but the memories i wont list.
your sister told me hours ago that you've been getting into football & staying away from me lately. i nodded my head at her & said
"the "save" icon on microsoft word shows a floppy disk, with the shutter on backwards"
or something equally relevant to her telling me something i didn't want to know.
i suppose it's good that you're getting into football now because it's the season. so if you ever have a craving to watch football you can just turn on your television & there it is.
i suppose it's good that you're staying away from me now because fall is the season in which you fall in love the easiest.
if you ever have a craving for my company i think it would be best if you gave in to it & came to my house & stood under my window with your acoustic guitar & played me a song about whales or mustache necklaces or heart murmur.
p.s. i just wanted to let you know that it was me who wrote you that letter telling you that you are my favorite & i don't know how i remembered your address it just came to me & yes i did leave my address out & my name & everything on purpose because i just wanted you to know how i was feeling even if you didn't know who it was who was doing the feeling & i know it isn't poetic to ramble but i had to let you know that
you are my favorite.
okay.

And then I didn't, because he'd know it was me. No one in my school does stuff like that.

She dreamt in grey.
the thought of him finding out who sent it freaked me out, but only after i had already sent it out.

i'm shivering, i'm shivering . . .
Or I might do as my friend suggests and slap a "You're a Creeper" sign on his locker instead.
